CFE-BAB. Luther MALTBY, b. (Jos. 5, Jos. 4, Jos. 3, Dan. 2, Wm. 1). m. (1) Betsey HOSMER, dau. of Thomas HOSMER (Ref. HOSMER Gen.), and his wife Mary (MALTBY) HOSMER. (Note "Betsey" for Elizabeth HOSMER). He m. (2) Lavinia DURHAM of England. He resided at Rutland, Jefferson Co., N.Y. (Mary MALTBY was a sister of Chandler MALTBY).
"Levinia Durham or Deerham was related to Lord Deerham." She died in the summer of 1878 or 1879, at, or near, Albany, Ill. Mrs. Orin (7) A. Maltby, writes: "Luther Maltby died when my husband was almost an infant. Luther was of French and English extraction. He d. at Dunkirk or Buffalo, N. Y."
Children:

at Clinton, Iowa. Lived in Texas and died
about 1911.
